The Friends of the Dalí Museums present an autumn of conferences, courses and family activities

25.09.2026

Dalí admired Gaudí, turned wine into an artistic medium and left his mark on cinema and literature. This autumn, all these paths cross again in an agenda that extends from Figueres to Martorell, Begur and Perelada. The Friends of the Dalí Museums are bringing an exhibition that has received nearly 2,000 visitors, a conference to learn about the construction of the Sagrada Família up close and a workshop to create with the family. Alongside them, the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation offers new perspectives on the artist, while members of the organization can access concerts, shows and museums under special conditions.

The season also comes with recognition for the organization: Figueres has agreed to award the Silver Medal to the Friends of the Dalí Museums for the outreach work they have done over more than thirty years.

Dalí admires Gaudí will have a new stop at the Círcol de Martorell . Before that, it can still be visited until October 15 at the Alt Empordà Delegation of the Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC), in Figueres. Produced by the Friends of the Dalí Museums and curated by Josep Playà , the exhibition traces, through photographs and documents, Dalí's defense of Gaudí's work. It has had the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Girona Provincial Council, Figueres City Council and the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, and with the collaboration of the Toy Museum of Catalonia and the Figueres Library.

On the same day that the exhibition in Figueres closes, the Friends and the Alt Empordà Delegation of the COAC will organize the conference "The Temple of the Sagrada Família. The central towers (2016-2026)" . The architect Narcís Laguarda i Vidal , a member of the technical team of the works, will explain how the construction of the temple has progressed. It will be on Thursday, October 15, at 6:30 p.m., at the Toy Museum of Catalonia in Figueres .

The Friends' program will also approach another facet of Dalí with Vins de Gala . At the Figueres Gastronomic Forum, Juliette Murphy will talk about the book that the artist conceived and illustrated around wine. The little ones will have the opportunity to experiment with paper and imagination in a surreal origami workshop for families .

The Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation is promoting other cultural events in the coming weeks. On October 1, Simon Weir will explore the architecture of the unconscious at the Dalí Theatre-Museum , as part of the Dalí Fellowship Programme. On October 14, writer Mircea Cărtărescu will talk with Montse Aguer about Dalí's presence in his work.

The Foundation also collaborates with the Begur Comedy Film Fest in a proposal dedicated to the cinephile Dalí , with the screening of a documentary about Portlligat and a discussion on the painter's relationship with the seventh art.
